Break the Conventional Myth: These so called unhealthy foods are actually very healthy!

I think you all are agree with that the whole World is raving about fitness, healthy lifestyle and fad diets, but the awareness about food is too low. There is a lot of myth about healthy food and unhealthy food.  According to a research, potatoes, banana, peanut butter and eggs are not as bad as you think and might actually be healthy. While potatoes are commonly considered fattening, but are actually loaded with essential nutrients, peanut butter helps in satiating and controlling weight.

In fact a number of other foods like chocolates, banana, red wine, ghee, are loaded with health benefits and should essentially be a part of your daily diet . So, before deciding on shunning any food from your list, just remember, you don't have to give up anything and all you have to do is to limit your portion size. 

Ghee

Ghee has unnecessarily gained flak as being fattening and loaded with cholesterol. But in fact, it is actually one of the healthiest form of fat. Ghee has calcium and is good for your bones, it has vitamins A, D and E and hence is good for your eyes, joints and skin.

Red wine

Red wine has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. It helps in clearing the pores, fight acne and prevent breakouts. Drinking a glass of wine everyday will help you slim down and promote a healthy and longer life.

Egg yolks

If your gym trainer is asking you not to eat egg yolk and only relish egg white, let us tell you that this part of the egg is also full of nutrients including Vitamin D, calcium, iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B9, Vitamin B12, Vitamin K, phosphorus, and zinc and you will be surprised to know that egg whites contains a very little of these.
