Halloween: 31 October Official Ghost Party Day
Ok Friends diwali is over now. Being an Indian we all know that where we can witness stunning diwali in India. But do you know where we can see and experience the best Halloween? This Halloween 2017, we are here to discuss the most popular places that are in fact haunted, or have some horror story to tell. Morbidity is always enticing, and all its shocking glory live to haunt us. The unknown is always attractive, simply because it is something beyond that we know. The unknown makes us wonder; it gets us excited and makes way for a lot of debate.
First of all let me explain something about Halloween. Actually Halloween began as the festival of Samhain. It was part of the ancient Celtic religion in Britain and other parts of Europe. At the end of summer, the Celts thought the barrier between our world and the world of ghosts and spirits got really thin. It is celebrated on the night of October 31. Straddling the line between fall and winter, plenty and paucity, life and death, Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition.
Eiffel Tower, Paris
From the city that is recognised for its romantic overtures, here comes a shocker. Of course, we all know it as that popular place for marriage proposals, but did you know that this is also a hotspot for suicides? There have been investigations into the paranormal activities in and around the tower.
Empire State Building, New York City
An iconic building, the Empire State Building is visited by numerous tourists every year. The history of the building is rather murky, because 14 deaths were caused during its construction. Also, it has been noted that suicides from its observation deck on the 86th floor are caused by ghostly sightings.
The Coliseum, Rome
Yet another iconic structure, this one is very old. In fact its construction began in 70 AD. The place was used to stage fights under Emperor Titus, and needless to say it claimed many lives. The gladiators and prisoners met their horrific end here, with some of them even being killed by lions.
The Great Wall of China, China
One of the most fascinating man-made structures on earth, this one is said to be haunted as well. History has it that almost two million workers lost their lives while building it, and tourists have reported about ghost sightings here on the Great Wall of China. Some have even heard marching footsteps here, while many have experienced headaches and nausea.
