Gudi Padwa is celebrated as the day of happiness and Maharashtrian consider it as a new year. People make Puran Poli, Shrikhand etc on this festival in order to spread sweetness all over.

While on this occasion people preach Gudi. There was a different scenario altogether on this day, Draped in Nauvari sarees, wearing strings of golden beads and nathanis, 70 women mounted on their bikes with radiated confidence. 

Their main motive was to celebrate women empowerment. These women were looking impressive in that typical Maharashtrian look.
