Hey! Find Out The Real Fairy Land
Do you believe on fairyland? I really don’t know about others but now I believe that such kind of paces does exist. Let me share one thing when I was a little girl, I used to read all those lustrous fairytale books filled with colorful houses and picturesque locales but never imagined that such dreamy places ever existed on the Earth for real.
Well, I was so wrong! Tucked away from the eyes of hungry travelers, the village of Giethoorn in Netherlands is an ocean of dreams from which you don’t wish to wake up.
Dream land
Here you can see people living in this picturesque village, taking a stroll along the canal, admiring sunset while standing on a wooden bridge and living inside quaint, thatched-roof farmhouses is not a dream!
No Roads
The Local people have decided to maintain the beauty, peace and prosperity of the place, the will not build any roads hence saving the destination from vehicle pollution. Instead, they travel by whisper boat (soundproof engines) or by canoes, which is simply commendable. Even the postman delivers the mail on a punt! This is really a road-less village .The entire village has a population of about 2,600 people, who have their houses on private islands! Is that not simply amazing? There are around 180 bridges instead of roads that connect one place with another and the only way to reach the houses is by foot.
In Winter Its look Like Santa House
This small village has a few museums where one can get an insight into the lives of people from the bygone centuries. From time to time, these museums also organised exhibitions and art festivals. Imagine how this village looks in winters. Let me tell you Giethoorn looks like Santa’s house during winters; yes, it get that beautiful when snow covers its bridges! This is the time when people get to show their skating skills on the icy ground.
Real Land
This not a imaginary world this is actually place where we get tired and hunger too. So for that they have several canal-side restaurants where winter afternoons can be spent sunbathing and relishing local delicacies.
