This Bollywood Actor Has Completely Destroy The Career Of Then Uttar Pradesh CM Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna
It is said that superstar Amitabh Bachchan had destroyed the political career of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna. Since then, he has left the politics. This is about 1984's, then Amitabh Bachchan tried to take the break from his films and tried his hand in politics.
Indeed, credit goes to Rajiv Gandhi for bringing Bachchan into politics. At that time, there used to be close friendships between Rajiv Gandhi and Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh came to politics only after the words of Rajiv Gandhi.
Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna also started his political career with the Congress. He has been a member of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee continuously since 1952. After which he was also the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 1974. But before the 1977 Lok Sabha elections, he rebelled against Congress and together with Jagjeevan Ram, formed the Congress for Democracy Party. In that election, his party got 28 seats, after which the party merged with the Janata Dal. Later, Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna was made the Finance Minister of the country.
But after the scandal in the Janata Party in 1980, just before the midterm elections, Bahuguna joined the Congress again. In this election, Bahuguna won from Garhwal, but he did not get a place in the cabinet and left the Congress and the Lok Sabha membership within six months. Later in 1982 by the same seat, he won the pre-elections. But the election of 1984 probably came as a dark period for Bahuguna's political career.
Rajiv Gandhi raised Amitabh Bachchan against Bahuguna: At that time Bahuguna's political stature was very big and Amitabh Bachchan was nothing but a film hero.
It was said in the election that Amitabh Bachchan will be defeated. But in the upside, Bachchan defeated Bahuguna by a recorded vote of 1 lakh 87 thousand. After which, Bahuguna has retired from politics. But Amitabh Bachchan did not succeed in this seat, and he left this seat after three years and completely retired from politics.
