Around 22 people (according to media reports) lost their lives in a painful accident at Elphinstone Road Station in Mumbai. There are dozens of people in the hospital in a critical condition.
Contributing relief work, Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the family of the deceased. Expressing her grief over the incident, Bollywood stars have tweeted. Riteish Deshmukh, John Abraham, Ajay Devgan, Raveena Tandon, Anupam Kher and many actors of Bollywood shown their grief over the heart drenching accident at Mumbai.
Meanwhile, John Abraham's tweet read as, "I have grown up traveling by trains, sad to see one of the stations I passed by every day has been hit with tragedy. My prayers are with the families of the lives that have been lost. #Elphinstone"
