The V8 Hotel in Stuttgart is a car lover's haven. Part of an auto museum called Boblingen's Meilenwerk, the rooms in this hotel are guaranteed to rev the engine of any car enthusiast. The four-star hotel has 34 rooms, of which 10 have undergone extreme makeovers that allow you to sleep in a Mercedes, Morris Minor, Cadillac or Volkswagen. Collectors of classic cars may even park their car in glass viewing boxes, so that others can see the repair and service taking place.
Giraffe Manor, Kenya
It's not everyday that you can enjoy a gourmet meal in a quaint historic mansion as giraffes lean in through the window over your shoulder. Giraffe Manor is located on a 140-acre sanctuary for one of the most endangered subspecies of giraffes in the world. The manor, which has ten guests rooms, offers up plates of giraffe food that you can feed to these hungry guests so they don't go after your breakfast.
The Hobbit Motel, New Zealand
From outside, these two self-contained underground dwellings look like they have come straight from Tolkien's Middle-earth. Don't worry if you're not three foot tall with hairy feet, everyone is welcome at the Hobbit Motel. This unusual motel was built using polystyrene blocks, keeping it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Each Hobbit unit is built into the hillside, much like the hobbit holes from 'The Lord of the Rings', and can accommodate up to six people.
