If you are a parent to a little girl then we would say, make your daughters like the much famed Phogat family of Dangal who fought with every obstacle just to achieve the goal of their life and came out as a conqueror!
Dangal which was released last year showed every bit and pieces of the struggles that Geeta and Babita had gone through in their lives to make a place in a men's profession. The films also portray how Mahavir Phogat who is the father of four, including Geeta and Babita always aspired his daughters to become wrestlers and trained them all to get their hands on all the achievements that they have in their names today!
The Phogat Sisters and Their Achievements
Do you know, the girls of the Phogat family have achieved so many awards in the international and national level? The eldest sister, Geeta has forged a remarkable path for the rest to follow—Commonwealth Games (CWG) gold in 2010 was followed by a bronze at the 2012 World Championship, a first for Indian women. Followed she qualified for the Olympics. The other sisters are also not far behind. Babita won silver at the 2010 CWG, and gold at the 2014 version, whereas Vinesh has also won gold. Ritu has won every major international medal at the junior level (including multiple World Championships), and she is about to make her leap to the senior team.
