When a 4-year-old got the Chance to be Librarian of Congress For A Day?
Ever since books are said to have been a man's best friend and this kiddo seems to have taken this way too seriously!
Well, normally people start developing a passion for book reading once they grow mature. However, what will you say about a kid who learned to read books at a tender age of 2? Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, don't be too surprised as the real surprise is yet to come.
Daliyah Marie Arana, a 4-year old toddler from Gainesville, Georgia has read more than 1,000 books till the date and still counting! If at the age of 4 she has developed a passion for reading and read 1,000 books, we wonder how many books she would be done with once she become a full adult.
If that isn't enough then little Daliyah got invited to Washington, D.C. for a special mission: To serve as the Library of Congress' Librarian For The Day! Isn't it something unbelievable to achieve at the age of 4?
She ran the Librarian Of Congress as a librarian for a whole day. Okay! Now don't be jealous of her she is just a little kid (with more brain than many of us! Wink...)

During her tour of the library, she read books to the library staff and guess what could be her favorite section? Obviously, the children's section! She was even asked for what kind of changes she would like to make in the children section. Install whiteboards in the library hallways, so children can practice writing on them- she said.
Way to go girl!
So, how did her love for reading begin? When she was just two-and-a-half, her parents enrolled her in a Georgia Public Library literacy program called 1,000 Books B4 Kindergarten. This program is about encouraging parents to log all the books that the children read or have read to them. And our little superstar completed the challenge in October after which she got her hands on such a huge opportunity! She is a real future star!
